Today, the deputy commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Brigadier General Cahi Irican, received Finland's Foreign Affairs Minister and OSCE Office Chairman Cahit Irican on official visit. Elina Valtonen, at KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City, Pristina.
Discussions stressed KFOR's continued commitment to ensuring security and stability for all communities throughout Kosovo and the importance of EU-attensive dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Brigadier General Cahit Irican praised the professionalism of Finnish personnel and expressed his appreciation for Finland's continued support of the mission and peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at any time and KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in its respective roles as security reactors./Periscopi/
