In an interview for Periscope, LDK candidate for Lipjan chairman Imri Ahmeti has spoken of the lack of financial support from the central level over the past two to three years, stressing that the exception makes only one project this year. We have not had any financial assistance or co-finance of any kind of project. The last two three years, this year we have a bridge, co-finance with the Ministry of Infrastructure at a value of only 75 thousand euros the ministry has, others are still municipal tools,” Ahmeti has declared.
He has also stressed the challenges facing municipalities, including executions by private finishers, who have significantly influenced the Lipjan budget.
“We have actually had various nature obstacles, for example, to municipalities this case Lipjani we face executions from private accounts, which occur because of collective contracts, and we until this year alone have received 2m euros from the treasury,” he said.
Ahmeti estimates there has been an uneven treatment by the Government against municipalities, which, according to him, has had a direct impact on field work.
I think there has been a kind of difference from the government for municipalities, and this, of course, has had its implications on the ground,” concluded Ahmeti.
