IK EXCLAIMING not using Badoci water for drink

Kosovo's National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK), while monitoring and conveying the quality of drinking water, on September 1st 2025 has observed rising mangane values in water samples in the area, which is supplied by Badoci's acumulating lake.

Recent laboratory tests indicate the increasing tendency of mangani's concentration in both the lake and the distribution network.

Even though these values exceed the original limit in Administrative Guide. 10/2021 ) The quality of human consumption water, until now, they have not exceeded the health standard considered to affect human health.

IK The KPS points out that pollution of mangan is chemical pollution and that boiling water does not eliminate manganin. Water can only be used for cleaning, maintaining personal hygiene, and living environments.

IK The KPS has strengthened control of the quality of drinking water, as well as co-operation with the KRU Pristina to secure quality water for citizens.

CRU “Pristina” U.S. has taken immediate measures:

Reduce the amount of production to maintain supply quality;

Intensification of network distribution processes, including magistrateial and secondary tubes.

Also providing constant supply of drinking water for affected areas (according to maps presented), CRU “Pristina” will provide water through Autobots, in line with schedules set and presented by the company.
