About the Rambouillet conference, Williams said former President Hashim Thaci did not want to undermine negotiations in any way.
Asked whether Thaci was initially required to consult with KLA commanders, he said he was unaware of such a thing, Klakosova.tv reports, the Periscopi broadcast.
He was asked whether Adem Demach was threatened during the Rambouillet conference, Williams said he had not been informed if there were direct threats from an adequate person.
Although, according to the lawyer, stressed and anxious Hashim Thaci was then seen by a photographer.
“There was one case, when a photographer came in to take pictures of them at the negotiating castle, Hashim was very upset, stressed, as he made connections that the photos to be taken there would be used by Serbia and targeted at it”, Williams said.
According to Williams, such anxiety and stress were understandable, for according to him, Thaci was carrying his burden as representative of the delegation.
Williams is the second witness called by Thaci's defense, while the first was former diplomat James Rubin. In all, there are 11 witnesses who have been called to testify from former President Hashim Thaci's defence. /Periscopi/
