Luka Misetic, lawyer for former President Hashim Thaci, unveiled an article in the newspaper of February 1999 to testify that Demadic's role in important political decisions was over that of Thaci, who was the leader of the Kosovo delegation in Rambouillet.
The lawyer asked former US Assistant Secretary of State James Ruby about the article on a conference held by Kurti. The title of the article was “No political decision without the consent of Adem Demach”.
Kurti was quoted as saying that the launch of the Albanian delegation to Rambouille in France was “getor of goodwill”.
Lawyer Misetic asked the US diplomat if KLA members in that 15-member delegation “were not authorized to sign”.
“A part of the delegation members said this thing”, Rubin said.
“Cileles in particular?”, has Misethic asked.
“Hashim Thaci”, the former senior American official responded.
