Hasani: Special Judges had conditions to protect witnesses

Former head of the Constitutional Court, Professor Enver Hasani, estimates that special judges have had ideal conditions to work on, protect witnesses and ensure any possible evidence. However, it criticises the lack of transparency, especially in the absence of the freedom defence institute for the accused, at a stage when evidence had already been administered.

In his professional and legal assessment, Hasan describes this marathon process as political, comparing it to the International Criminal Tribunal.

The professor adds that evidence processed by Serbia cannot have credibility, as the law links their validity to witness integrity.

In clarifying the burden of evidence under the court law, Professor Hasani also singles out a defence witness as a comparison.
