AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj has remembered today the adoption of the Kosovo Constitution on 7 September 1990, stressing the importance of this historic act for Kosovo's secession from Serbia and Yugoslavia.
Haradinaj has honoured the delegates at that time for their courage and vision, which with sacrifice laid the foundations of Kosovo's citizenship and independence.
On September 7th 1990, in Kacanik, Kosovo Assembly delegates approved the Constitution of Kosovo -- the historic act that laid the foundations of Kosovo's secession from Serbia and then Yugoslavia, known as the Constitution of Kacanik. With the highest honour, we remember delegates of that time, who under difficult circumstances, with courage and vision, represented the Albanian people's current aspirations for freedom and laid the foundations of Kosovo's citizenship and independence. Eternal gratitude for their undeniable contribution!”/Periscopi/
