Haradinaj, during the event of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo campaign in Fushe Kosovo, said that everything that has been done in wartime will prove to be done for free Kosovo.
“Listen to these statements and proposals they are making there in court processes, they are far away and we want to free those who are being tried, they are our fellow fighters, they are Albanians. Come in its place. Interestingly, though, there in the way you're saying it, believe nothing is extraordinary. We were, at that time, serving the country. So it was that time and it had to be worked that way, but even at this time, we're trying to get things done with vision that even after 20 or 30 years, when we explain these processes, we've been serving the country. We served the people. Even at that time there was criticism, so we haven't been understood, even at the time, even these governing stages sometimes when I was the head of government, it's not everything that glorifies people. I'm praised for the army, for Trepca, but there's been people who caught me in a big move, or appreciated that it wasn't necessary, but they're part of the process we do with allies and partners, but at one time all of this will prove that we've done for the people of the country.”, he said.
James Rubin, who during wartime in Kosovo has been assistant Secretary of State, has testified today in the case of Hashim Thaci and other former KLA leaders in The Hague.
Among other things, he said that in 1999 he understood Ramush Haradinaj's communication with the CIA, adding that “this communication had been executed between the years”.
Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are charged with alleged war crimes. They are in custody from November 2020. /Periscope/
