Hamas has addressed a letter to US President Donald Trump, asking him to guarantee a 60-day ceasefire at the Gaza Strip in exchange for releasing half of the hostages held there.
According to an exclusive report by Fox News, citing a senior American administration official and a source close to the negotiations, the letter currently lies in the hands of negotiators from Qatar, writes Euronews.
Qatar will submit this request to the White House this week. Earlier, Doha had suspended mediation efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the release of 48 hostages held since the Israeli attack on Hamas' leadership in Qatar's capital, Doha, two weeks ago. /Periscope/
