The United States' decision to cut off strategic dialogue with Kosovo is a powerful political and diplomatic alert. This decision affects not only our relations with the greatest historical ally, but the future of our state has written Sokol Haliti.

Kosovo is a joint project, born of the sacrifice of our people and American support. This relationship is not just diplomatic, it is the foundation of our freedom and citizenship. Every step that violates this trust and alliance is the blow to the national interests and security of our citizens.
Instead of deepening strategic co-operation, we are facing a dangerous cooling of relations today. The responsibility falls on the current political leadership, which, with reckless decisions, disfellowshipped rhetoric and ignoring international partners, has brought Kosovo into unnecessary isolation.
Kosovo does not have the luxury of ruining bridges with the US. It takes wisdom, responsibility and courage from the country's political elite, without party differences, to restore dialogue, restore confidence and prove that Kosovo deserves and protects strategic partnership with America.
Loyalty to the US is a security guarantee for Kosovo, because its full future is closely linked to America.
