The ship, along with 20 more boats, left Barcelona last week and reported by International media It is expected to reach its destination by mid-September.
The Global Navy Sumud (GSF) shared images in the social media of the moment when the ship was hit by a suspected threat in the Sunnisian waters.
Thurberg himself shared a GSF statement on social media, confirming the attack.
“Global Sumud Flotilla confirms that one of the main boats, known as “Family Warka” which held members of the GSF Steering Committee was hit by what is suspected to be a”, it says in the statement.
