Thank you very much for the five years, Rohde has originally said, adding that during his stay in Kosovo, he has seen many developments.
“Visa liberalisation in 2017 was a major achievement. There are also things that have not been accomplished, like Kosovo membership in the Council of Europe. The relationships between our countries are unique. As you know, 600 thousand Kosovars or Germans of Kosovo descent live in Germany. This number is growing. And I'm sure our relationships will continue to grow. We will be a major Kosovo partner. We have been a great partner since independence”, the ambassador has indicated.
He has invited Kosovo citizens to welcome his successor, Rainer Rudolph, who is expected to take office soon.
I would like you to extend your kindness and friendship to my descendants. And, to stay in football, I will soon pass the ball to him”, Rohde said.
