Former president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Dutterte, has been charged by the International Criminal Court ( GNP's charge of crimes against humanity.
The 80-year-old is accused of being prosecuted for dozens of killings allegedly involved in the so-called drug fight, during which thousands of drug dealers and other people were killed without trial, television reports BBC.
GjNP's indictment sheets, including several editings, date back to July, but were made public only Monday.
GjNP's deputy prosecutor, Mame Mandiye Niang, said Duterte is “torial co-author” in the assassination, which the court suspects were committed by others, including police.
The first point of the indictment against Dutertes involves doubting his involvement in the murder of 19 people in the city of Davao between 2013 and 2016, when he was then head of this settlement.
The other two points of the indictment relate to the period when he served as president of the country from 2016 to 2022 when he started his so - called war on drugs.
The second point of the indictment relates to the killing of 14 “high-value” nationwide, while third to the murder and attempted murder of 45 people during village cleanup operations.
Duterte has not apologized for his brutal crackdown on drugs, during which more than 6,000 people have been killed, even though activists believe the actual number may be tens of thousands.
