Gjilan's 33-year-old hacker pleaded guilty to 10 years in US federal prison

U.S. Attorney and former Hashim Thaci's chief attorney, Gregory W. Kehoe has announced that the 33-year-old Liridon Masurica from Gjilan, known as “@blackdb”, has been found guilty of conspiracy and access to equipment fraud. Under the plea agreement, Masurica was the main administrator of the BlackDB. cc ) an online criminal market in action from 2018 to 2025.
The market was offered illegally for sale by compromising account and server credentials, credit card information and other identifying personal information of individuals placed mainly in the United States, including those located within Florida's Middle District.
After being bought, cybercriminals used items purchased in Blac k DB. cc to facilitate a wide range of illegal activities, including tax fraud, credit card fraud, and identity theft. Masurica, citizens and Kosovo residents, was taken into custody by authorities in Kosovo on 12 December 2017 and was later extradited to the United States in line with the extradition treaty between the United States and the Republic of Kosovo. The date of his sentence has not yet been determined.
The case was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigations in co-operation with the Kosovo Police Bureau of Cybercrime Investigation. The FBI's Legal Ataseu Office in Sofia, Bulgaria and the Department of Justice's International Affairs provided considerable assistance in securing Masurica's arrest and extradition.
The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Police Cyber Crimes Investigation Directorate also offered considerable assistance in Maturica's arrest. The case is being prosecuted by US Assistant Prosecutor Carlton C. Gammons.
