Ambassador Rainer Rudolph is deputy chairman of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).
He's a German diplomat and was deputy head of Mission at the German Embassy in Vienna until 2023.
Earlier, he served in Germany's Permanent Representative to the European Union in Brussels and the German embassies in Warsaw and Washington, DC. In Berlin, he worked twice at the Federal Office of Chancelloria, including as chief of the division responsible for EU foreign relations, EU enlargement and relations with EU member states.
Rudolph graduated from Tübingen University in German History and Literature. He's an associate with the German Council for Foreign Relations (DGAP).
German diplomat Jorn Rohde, who arrived in Kosovo in the summer of 2020, is expected to leave in autumn 2025.
