The statement was made at a media conference after his return from Doha, where he participated in an urgent Arab-Islamic summit following the Israeli air strike on Hamas' negotiating team in Qatar last week.
“Netanyahu is ideologically a relative of Hitler,” said Erdogan, adding that, just as Hitler could not predict the defeat that lay ahead, the Israeli prime minister will face a similar fate.
Erdogan called the attack on Hamas' negotiating team “an open challenge to rule and international law” and said Israel's leadership has become a network of assassins on fascist ideology”.
The Turkish president also referred to the recognition of Palestine by Western countries, saying it would exert further pressure on Israel and pledging to raise the issue back to the United Nations. /Periscope/
