“We are engaged for EU integration and NATO” Basha in the quality of the Parliament Speaker meets Britain's Ambassador Hargrees

Mayor Basha expressed deep gratitude for the historic and continued support of the United Kingdom towards Kosovo, praising its contribution during the war and its active role in building the state, strengthening democracy and economic development of the country.

During the meeting, he briefed Ambassador Hargreaves on recent developments in the Assembly, with particular focus on the process of the constitutional session and commitment to full institutional functioning.

The two sides also discussed democratic reforms in the country and the importance of continuing international support. Mayor Basha stressed the commitment of Kosovo institutions to guarantee the rights of all citizens, as well as the country's clear goal of integration into the European Union and NATO membership.

Ambassador Hargrees, for his part, congratulated Chairman Basha for taking office and reaffirmed the United Kingdom's readiness to strengthen co-operation with the Kosovo Assembly and support the country's Euro-Atlantic path.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of bilateral co-operation and reaffirmed the strong partnership between Kosovo and the United Kingdom.
