According to the indictment, the armed parties clashed for revenge motives linked to the narcotics trade, causing other serious injuries. The defendants are charged with criminal acts “grave murder” in co-ordination, as well as “unauthorized possession of weapons”.

Naim and Ahmet Berisha, as well as Kaltrim Gashi, are still on the run.

“Justice Vow” has secured the full indictment against Naim, Ahmet Berisha, Lum Halimaj and Kaltrim Gashi, who are being charged by the Constitutional Prosecutor for the double murder that took place on 26 March 2024 in Pristina's Kolovic.

What is said at the first point of the indictment?

At around 21:10 on March 26th 2024, on the “Butrit” road in Pristina, in co-ordination, Ahmet and Naim Berisha, deliberately and equipped with firearms, claimed from life to the late E.H., reports the “Battle for Justice”.

In addition, the same had endangered the lives of other defendants: Lum Halimaj, Kaltrim Gashi and the late Bilal Kqiku, where Ahmet and Naim Berisha originally, along with strangers, took action.

Always according to the indictment, the reason for the actions turns out to be revenge for the attempted assassination that had been committed to the same day as Naim Berisha, which is linked to narcotics trading. The defendants' aim was to deprive each other of their lives.

According to the indictment, Ahmet Berisha had taken the unknown calibre gun with the Golf 8, while Naim, as a passenger with Scorpion-type weapons, along with unknown persons, left the house at 19:32.

According to the indictment, around 21:10, on “Butrit”, they meet with other defendants, who were in a Honda car, headed by Halimaj. Passengers were the late Bilal Kqiku, E.H. A late man, and Caltrim Gashi.

The Actakuz says Ahmet Berisha started firing guns in the direction of the car to secure the way for Naim Berisha. The latter opened the door, pulled out of the car, positioned behind the concrete pole, replicated the gun and fired 11 times, then 4 times returning to the car, deprived of E.H.

The prosecution explains that Haziri passed away because of the massive bloodshed, separation of heart and left lung from shells, endangering the lives of others, and causing serious injury to Kqiku.

For these actions, Ahmet and Naim Berisha are charged with criminal work “grave murder” in co-ordination, from Article 173 paragraph 1, subparagraph 1.5, regarding Article 31 of the Republic of Kosovo Criminal Code (KPRK).

What is said at the second point of the indictment?

On the same date and hour, March 26, 2024, 21:10, at “Butrit”, the Halimaj and Kaltrim Gashi, in co-ordination and deliberately equipped with AK-47 weapons, deprived the life of Mr.G. and risked the lives of those injured in February, Qamil Ragip Gashi, Elmedina Mavriqi, as well as defendants Naim and Ahmet Berisha and unidentified persons.

Actions relate to the trading and distribution of narcotics, where the goal was to deprive the two-way life of Naim and Ahmet Berisha.

The Actakuz explains that Halimaj, Gashi, Kqiku and Haziri came out in search of Naim Berisha since 15:17, with a view to deprivation. On “Burint”, the river stopped the car for Kqik to target and hunt Naim Berisha.

Bilal Kqiku fired six times, and one of the shells hit Mr.G., which passed away as a result of external and internal bleeding, where the missile caused a left foot artery to collapse. Elmedina Mavriqi suffered minor injuries.

Halimaj tried to avoid the attack by leaving the car, while Kaltrim Gashi took the lead in the car to allow Halimaj to get back into it. With great speed they continued toward the hospital, where then Kqiku and Gashi leave and return to the KKUK Emergency.

For these actions, the River Halimaj and Caltrim Gashi are tasked with criminal work “grave murder” in co-ordination, from Article 173 paragraph 1, subparagraph 1.5, regarding KPRK's Article 31.

What's it say at the third point of the indictment?

By the same date, time and country, Ahmet and Naim Berisha, Lum Halimaj and Kaltrim Gashi, without authorisation and contrary to the law on weapons, have possessed the weapons they committed criminal acts.

The indictment specifys that Ahmet Berisha carried weapons and fired from the car. Naim Berisha carried Scorpion-type weapons. Halimaj carried a Kalashnikov-type weapon as a driver.

Gashi carried Kalashnikov-type weapons after performing the work and hid it in an unknown location along with the late Kqiku.

For these actions, defendants are charged with criminal work “maintaining, possession or unauthorized control of weapons”, from Article 366 paragraph 1 of KPRK.
