Danish national police said the drones followed a model similar to those that had stopped flights to Copenhagen Airport for four hours earlier. The country's armed forces were also affected, as the Aalboorg airport is used as a military base, they added.
Danish police verified the fatigue activity that took place on Wednesday evening at the Esbjerg, Sönderborg and Scrydstrup airports, though they were not closed.
