Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK), Blerta Deliu-Kodra, has declared that decision The PDK to vote on Vetevendosje Movement candidate Dimal Basha, for chairman of the Parliament, was not to help Albin Kurti, but to pave the way for the functioning of institutions.
In a FIVE TV interview on Dukaagjini, she said this was a major step towards overcoming the political blockade and enabling Kosovo citizens to have the functioning Government's Assembly.
To enable not Albin Kurti, but to enable Kosovo's citizens to have institutions, so that this country will have a Parliament, Government, to have the constitution, to open up the conscious blockade made by Albin Kurti we've made great steps. We have voted a VV candidate just to pave the way for the institution and it's never happened for ever in the political chair since I remember in parliamentary history, the VV has never voted any other parties' amendments. The way they behaved politically has been far from the agreement, away from the discussion, away from the alignment.
And we voted it out to make way for institution-restitutions. We've given a promise, we keep our word, and we'll keep it as we've done thus far”, Deliu-Codra said.
PDK MP accused the Kurti government of degrading institutions in the last five years, including corrupt relatives. According to her, this government has violated every promise and principle.
“5 years Kosovo has been degraded by corruptness, close to state reserves, with Martin Berisha's relatives, with successive relatives, nepotism we see every day. With representatives of the party militants who were illegally placed at the head of important state institutions. With a government that has broken every promise and principle. With a government halting the budget for the judicial process taking place in The Hague. With a government that has consistently labeled the KLA's sublimet value. With a government that has banned and poor citizens... ”, Deliu-Kodra has added./ Periscopi/
