Milanovic said Wednesday that Croatia continues to support and promote legitimate political processes as the basis for progress in the Southeast European region, his office reports.
“Membership in the European Union is not a solution to all challenges, but remains a strong driver of prosperity, which is evident in Croatia. We promote good neighbourly relations and call on all states to refrain from actions that undermine stability in the region.”, he said.
Milanovic also stated that Croatia “calls for full respect for constitutional order, sovereignty and equality of the three constituent peoples” in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He reiterated his call for the “an urgent end of the massacre in the Gaza Strip” and for the universal “recognition of the legitimate political aspirations of the Palestinian people”.
The Croatian president also stressed that the United Nations reform is a “existentiality” and that the world organisation “should adjust in order to remain relevant and effective”.
