The court has also confirmed that it is dealing with the Serbian List complaint.
The Serbian list had announced on Saturday that it has filed complaints with the Constitutional Court against the separate vote for the election of Deputy Speakers of the Parliament, from among the minority communities during the constitutional session. In the public announcement, the Serbian List had refused to mention Kosovo's Assembly, referring to sessions as held at “The Assembly in Pristina”, followed Periscope.
The case had prompted numerous reactions, while now the Constitutional Court has said that the Serbian List's request does not use such a term.
The “request filed by representatives of the Serbian List on August 30th 2025 is being prosecuted by the Court. In the preset request there is no figure in the term "Pristina Parliament" --” -- says this court's response to TIME.
None of the 9 deputies of this party has received the majority of votes in the Assembly to be elected vice president. The vote did not receive even the other Serbian MP, Nenad Rassic, who does not belong to this group. Similarly, Chief Parliamentary Dimal Basha shared the voting process for deputy speakers from the ranks of communities.
And this issue has been rejected as unconstitutional by the Serbian List.
Despite failing to elect a Serbian deputy chairman, Basha has announced the constitution under way.
