Pristina Mayor Uran Ismaili, today at a media conference, has presented the 10 immediate decisions he will make as the capital's next chairman, where one of his priorities is the construction of Pristina Hospital.
Ismaili stressed that this project is urgent and vital for the citizens of Pristina, who have been without a hospital for decades. There is no time for experiments, chaos and blockades that make life difficult for citizens. There's no time for 10-year plans and futuristic projects. The time has come for Pristina citizens to receive deserved treatment in their town,” he said.
Construction of the Pristina Hospital, according to Ismaili, is not a new idea: the plan for the project has been prepared since he headed the Ministry of Health. Today, he called this vow one of the first unhindered steps in the event that the mayor of the capital is elected.
In addition to the hospital, Ismaili has presented the first 10 decisions he will make as chairman:
Opening Square “George Bush” in the first week;
The suspension of new construction permits for the first six months;
The beginning of procedures for establishing the Digital Traffic Management Centre;
The start of procedures for buying 60 new garbage collection trucks;
Establishing the table for lighting 1,000 Pristina streets;
The beginning of the process for building a new shelter for treating stray dogs;
The start of procedures for placing 200 security officers in schools;
Signing the executive decision to release blocked sidewalks;
Establishing the task force for building Pristina Hospital;
Signing the executive decision to double farm and agribusiness subsidies.
At the end of the conference, Ismaili has made formal signing of these pledges, calling October 13th the moment of launching a new era for Pristina.
