Despite that decision, on Sunday it has been warned that the Vetevendosje Movement will hold the General Council meeting, where the mandate name for forming government is expected to be formalised.
VV deputy Arber Rexhaj has stressed that the meeting will take place, as the subject considers the Assembly already in the final phase of the institution.
Rexhaj said they will also appoint the prime minister, party chief Albin Kurti.
The “of course we will hold the General Council meeting because it is the LVV Council of our political subject. We consider that we are already in the final phase of the Parliament's institution and of course we will appoint our mandate, so Albin Kurti. Where after the Constitutional Court's decision, after reading it, we will send Kurti's name to the president to begin the phases of the Kosovo Assembly, where we needed 61 votes to vote on the government of the Republic of Kosovo”, he declared in Tve1.
Meanwhile, in contrast to Rexhaj, Kosovo's acting government spokesman, Kryeziu, in a statement yesterday before the Constitutional Court's decision on the interim move was issued, said the Assembly was constitutionalised.
“The Assembly is constitutionalised, but we still don't have a new government coming out of this assembly, the 9th Parliament legislature, respectively. Article 30 of the Law on Government clearly states that the Government in resignation continues to exercise its responsibilities, in accordance with restrictions imposed on the same law, until the election of the new government by the Parliament. As for Mrs. Haxhiu and Mrs. Rexhepi, they have been relieved of office in the government cabinet after the same have been elected by the assembly to the positions of the deputy heads of the Parliament and have new duties and responsibilities”, Kryeziu told RTV21.
