Speaking at a press conference shortly after the attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar, Guterres has described Qatar as “a country that has played a very positive role in achieving a ceasefire and release of all hostages”.
He urged the parties to work to reach a permanent ceasefire and not to destroy it.
“All sides must work to achieve a permanent ceasefire, not to destroy it”, the UN chief said.
