So stated Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, during the Black Strategic Forum in Slovenia, Periscope.
“We have opened two other groups with Albania and agreed with Prime Minister Edi Rama that we will first celebrate in Brussels, and later next year with a football match in Tirana between member states and candidate countries, where the president will participate. UEFA-s”, Kos said.
She stressed that the enlargement process is at an important stage and that in 2028 The European Union could count 28 members, while with Albania's progress, in 2029 that number could reach 29.
“With Montenegro we are moving forward and it is possible in 2026 to complete the technical aspect of negotiations. If Edi Rama continues to do what he's doing perfectly, then in 2029 we can have 29 members. So, hurry”, the Commissioner for Enlargement said.
