U.S. commemorates Sergeant Africa Bulnjak on two anniversary of the Banjska attack.

Through an official post, the US Embassy announced that participation in the ceremony is evidence of continued support from the United States for Kosovo's sovereignty, security and institutions.
“tasked with working with Anu Prattipati joined Kosovo's institutional leaders and diplomatic colleagues to honour the memory of Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bulnjak, who was killed at the helm two years ago during the Banjska attack,” is said in the statement.
Sergeant Bulnjak was killed on 24 September 2023 during an armed attack carried out by a Serbian paramilitary group in northern Kosovo. It has been declared Kosovo's “Hero”, while its death remains a symbol of the sacrifice for peace and constitutional order in the country.
The United States has been among the most vocal allies in demanding justice for this attack and bringing its authors before the law.
