Codenamed “PIN '%code and drug photo” - How did the group network communicate on the operation “The Broken White”

According to the Prosecutor's File, the criminal network had communicated using the coded platform “KEY ECC” Texts, photographs and PIN Codes were sent to this platform.

The Special Prosecutor's File, which is owned by the Insander newspaper, writes about how communication worked within this criminal network: it all focused on encrypted platforms and modified devices, where PIN messages, photos, and codes were the main instruments of co-ordination.

According to documents, group members used Sky ECCA coded platform they describe as the main tool for exchanging orders and operational information. Communications were not just textuals, they included:

We use forged identities and various identification documents that are scanned and divided inside the platform.

The devices that the network members used were modified cell phones where they had disabled operations like cameras or locations, with installed applications allowing themselves to destroy messages and remove traces. Communications were carried out in forms that avoided traditional telecom networks and strengthened with the use of PINcomes for safe access.

The file also describes the operational content of the conversations - discussions on drug quantities, prices, blending method (e.g. Mixed with bicarbon soda for weight growth, and equipment and reaquement instructions before distribution. Photos served as “confirming” of payments, shipments and forged documentation that facilitated the passage of cargo through ports and borders.
