The closure of Serbian offices in the north, U n NMIK: Unsolved issues addressed in dialogue

UNMIK has expressed concern over the closure of offices in Mitrovica of the Health Insurance Fund and the Fund for Invalidary and Pension Insurance, operating under Serbia's system.

Through a Facebook response, U n The NMIC again calls for all outstanding issues to be dealt with constructively through dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

In addition, many of the non-communal communities, including Kosovo Serbs, continue to face challenges in obtaining Kosovo's identification documents and valid residence permits, which may hinder their ability to register vehicles and get a license from”, it is said in response.

“Actions on these issues, conducted without consultation or preliminary notice for affected communities, negatively affect their daily life and socioeconomic rights, hinder their integration and limit access to health care and other essential services”.
