“Close borders immediately” The Germans are losing patience, Alice Weidel and AfD attacks Chancellor Merz and Merkel

Alternative Co-chairman for Germany ( AfD, Alice Weidel, has sharply criticised German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a session in Bundestag, accusing him of “complacency” and “of reality”, especially in migration, external and defence policies. Speaking before Merz, Weidel stated that “citizens are losing patience” and demanded a change [...]
Speaking to Merz, Weidel stated that <x0-cysts are losing patience” and called for a radical change in the government's approach. She referred to former Janceslares Angela Merkel's famous speech in 2015, “We succeed”, saying its consequences are still feeling today.
“Close borders completely and without exception. Reject illegal immigrants without valid documents and those who have no right to asylum, without exception. Naturalization after ten years, earlier not”, she said.
The AfD leader accused Merz of breaking any electoral promise in the field of energy, taxes and public finances. She added that the Chancellor, in the face of the fall of popular support, was trying to look like a global leader, appearing alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, “s that even their people no longer want on duty”.
Weidel also criticised the German government's stance on war in Ukraine, accusing him of “sabotaging American President Donald Trump's plans to end the” conflict, while encouraging Kiev not to make concessions to Moscow. According to her, warnings of a nearby Russian “fight” are being used as an excuse for increasing public spending.
In her address, she also made a fan of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, recently killed in the United States.
Weidel's attacks on Chancellor Merz come at a politically tense moment, as the government is facing criticism over migration policies and management of the economy, while the AfD is taking advantage of the electorate's discontent in the polls.
