Former Kosovo Ambassador to the US, PDK Secretary General Vlora Citaku, has responded to incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who said that Kosovo has not broken down with America but only differs and that the opposition is magnifying the issue. Citaku told RTV21 that incumbent Prime Minister Kurti is living in a parallel universe, as the reports between Kosovo and the US stressed are at the lowest point for the government's fate in office.
According to her, the criticisms of the former opposition are not great but the real situation of what is happening between Kosovo and its biggest ally.
I have the impression that Mr. Kurt is living in a parallel universe. There is nothing more serious that has happened to Kosovo now and 25 years of freedom than the US decision to suspend strategic dialogue, and that's not a remark or attitude that we like best. We have enough topics to criticize Mr. Kurti and I would never like to be given the opportunity to even me or anyone in Kosovo to criticise a Kosovo prime minister for reports with the US. The situation we're in is a completely unimaginable situation, an unexplored territory and can turn into a potentially dangerous situation. What has happened in the last few days is a formalism of a situation that has existed for 5 years now. At a certain moment during Mr. Beden had the government ministers' visits now and five years of the Kosovo prime minister's leg had not broken into the white house. ...then tell me when it happened to be so long without a visit by any washed delegation to Kosovo, reports unfortunately are at the lowest possible drop of”, Citaku said.
