British Ambassador meets with AGK representatives: Free Media Essential to Democracy

The United Kingdom Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargrees, has held a meeting with Kosovo Journalists' Association Chairman (AGK), Xhemajl Rexha, and several other members of this association.

In his announcement, Hargreaves stressed that the conversation focused on the state of the local media environment.

“Today, I waited at the embassy for members of the Association of Kosovo Journalists to talk about the media environment in Kosovo. The UK is committed to protecting free and independent media as essential for a healthy democracy. Journalists do a vital job, contributing to accountability and an informed public debate. ” The ambassador wrote.
