Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is expected today to submit comments concerning the blockade in the Kosovo Assembly to the Serbian community's elected deputy leader.
So declared Bekim Kupina, a media adviser to the Presidency.
“Sic you know, the Constitutional Court has already imposed temporary measures until September 30th. Regarding the merits of the case, the president will hand over her comments to the Constitutional Court on the case in question within the term set by the Court, that is, tomorrow, September 9,”, he told Clankosova.tv.
He stressed that the President's position has always been that no one should have the right to block institutions, and therefore the state.
“As envisioned in 57 (4) of the Constitution, realisation of community rights is inseparable by the obligation to respect the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and not to violate the rights of others”, Kupina stressed.
Last Friday, the Constitution approved the request submitted by the Serbian List for the deployment of a temporary move regarding the election of the Serbian community's deputy head of the Parliament.
The measure will be in effect until September 30th, 2025.
According to this act, the provisional measure aims to prevent the flow of the 30-day deadline for the constitutional institution of the Parliament, defined in one of the previous constitutional judgments. /Periscope/
