Basha demands support from Albania “in the face of Serbia's aggression” and “insitising” to the EU to remove Kosovo measures

Parliament Speaker Dimal Basha has hosted Albania's ambassador to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj and Deputy Ambassador Spring Teli at the meeting. During the meeting, Basha and Malaj have discussed the idea of creating a liaison office in the congregations of both states “where MPs will be informed in real time of developments within relevant institutions, then sharing reports on the positions of the congregations in relation to specific topics, as well as updateing news about the ongoing procedures and initiatives for our countries”.
Basha has requested support from Albania to confront Kosovo's challenges, “anyway in the face of continued aggression from Serbia”.
He has told Malaj to ask Albania to insist that in meetings with international partners on leaving the measures against Kosovo.
“In this context, Chief Parliamentary Basha also called for further support from Albania to face the challenges Kosovo is facing, especially in the face of continued aggression from Serbia, which, in various ways, undertakes diplomatic, propagandistic and destabilising attacks on Kosovo. The mayor also asked the Albanian state to insist at meetings with international partners that the removal of unfair measures against Kosovo, stressing the need for fair and equal access in relation to the state and citizens of Kosovo. ”
