The chairman of the assembly, Dimal Basha, on Saturday has announced the assembly's constitutionalisation closed, though not elected Serbian deputy chairman.
He has called a leadership meeting for today, but by the PDK and LDK have said they will attend.
“Today, the Speaker of the Assembly announced the completion of the constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, without the total implementation of Article 67 of the Kosovo Constitution. For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Assembly is not yet constitutionalised, because its headship has not been elected in full constitutional composition. Under these circumstances, The PDK considers the invitation for a meeting of the head of the Assembly that has not been constitutionalised and does not participate in such meetings, which serve only party agendas, not the interest of the state”, the PDK Hall says.
While LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has said Basha has wrongly ascertained that the session has been constitutionalised, since the Constitution clearly states that such a thing is considered only after all vice-presidents have been elected.
The call from Basha's Headship Meeting, Obadiah, has said it is unconstitutional and participating.
“We're involved in such madness”, he said.
Various recognitions of political developments have dismissed Basha's move, saying the constitutional session cannot be considered complete without the election of all vice-presidents.
