The arrests were carried out following investigative actions conducted at the order of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo. With the authorisation of this prosecutor and the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina, checks have been conducted in today's action at four different locations including homes, apartments, businesses and escort objects related to suspects.
During the raids, investigators have seized material evidence, which is expected to be used in criminal procedures against those arrested. After interviewing in the presence of defence lawyers, the Special Prosecutor has ordered the detention of suspects for 48 hours.
Kosovo police say it remains committed to tackling any information and suspicion of crimes organised with professionalism and close co-operation with justice institutions in order for all leaders of criminal acts to face legal responsibility. /Periscopi
