Albania's exports to Kosovo doubled

In a period of the year when Albanian exports should flourish because of seasonality, quantity and value decreased in August, while July results in the best month for them.
Foreign trade data from the Statistics Institute indicates that exports reached 25 billion leks (257m euros) by a 12.9 %, compared to the same period a year ago and decreased by 27.9%, compared to July 2025.
This result in Made products in Albania has been attributed to high export of fuels and machinery and equipment.
Export growth has been influenced by Kosovo, the sales to which 75.5% rose in eight months, and almost double for August (+94.6%) influenced mainly by the group <x0micrals, fuels and energy”.
Exports with Kosovo are leading foreign trade, which has doubled in August, followed by Greece and Spain.
Exports towards Kosovo totaled 17.8% of the 8th month 2025, down from about 10% the same period a year ago
While at this period of summer season when consumption is higher, INSTAT reports a decline in imports by 2.7%, reaching 67 billion dollars (534m euros).
