The distance between Kabul and Delhi is about 1,000 miles (621 km) and the flight lasted about an hour and a half.
A spokesperson for the Indian Industrial Security Central Force (CISF) said the boy managed to travel undiscovered on Kam Airlines's RQ-4401 flight, which landed in Delhi on Sunday.
The police found him wandering alone and took him aside for questioning.
The boy reportedly told authorities he was hiding in the back of the plane's central landing wheels.
The airline staff also found a small red-coloured speaker after further security inspections were conducted.
Indian Express reported that the 13-year-old wanted to travel to Iran and did not know that the flight he was on was destined for Delhi, not Tehran.
According to the newspaper, the boy sneaked into Kabul airport, followed a group of passengers, and hid in the back wheel of the plane's internal section of the landing system. He carried only the red - colored speaker.
Recently, there have been incidents of travelers hiding on airplanes to the United States or Europe, often leaving their countries of origin. But few survive. /Periscopi/
