The Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade through the Central Market Supervisor Inspectorate reports that by September 1st, it has intensified inspections throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, to ensure copyright protection and to monitor textbooks prices.
This step is a measure to ensure respect for legal requirements and to avoid violations that could harm consumers as well as intellectual creativity, the announcement said.
“The Central Inspectorate of Market Supervision has inspected over 30) different economic operators who exercise this activity and in all cases where violation of legal provisions has been found, market inspectors have taken punitive measures under legislation in power”, the report follows, broadcasts Periscope.

Central Market Supervisor Intensifies field inspections for textbooks prices and copyright protection
The Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade through the Central Market Supervisor Inspectorate from 01.09.2025 has intensified inspections throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo to ensure copyright protection and to monitor textbooks prices.
The step is a measure to ensure respect for legal requirements and to avoid violations that could harm consumers as well as intellectual creativity.
The Central Market Oversight Inspector has inspected over 30) different economic operators who exercise this activity and in all cases where violations of legal provisions have been found, market inspectors have taken punitive measures under legislation in force.
In order to respect the Rights of the Author, the Central Inspectorate of Market Oversight will continue the following days to conduct strict controls on publishing houses and distributors to ensure that the circulation of textbooks in the market is in line with the law enforcement legislation on copyrights and rough rights.
Also, the Central Inspectorate of Market Oversight will continue the following days to rigorously monitor textbooks prices throughout the market, in order to ensure that they are reasonable and compatible with competition and consumer protection regulations.
The Central Market Supervisor Inspectorate calls on all acts involved, including publishing houses and authors, to co-operate with competent authorities to secure a fair and transparent market, respecting author rights and ensuring reasonable prices for textbooks.
