26 years ago KPC was founded

Today marks the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the KPC, where, under the Kumanovo Agreement and in accordance with the Rambouillet agreement, was preceded by the disarmament of Kosovo Liberation Army soldiers and its transformation into the Kosovo Protection Corps. The KPC was established at the beginning of the country's institutional body, which was taking place not only in Kosovo, but also in the region, which grew and strengthened but in poor conditions and low wages.
On February 2nd 2007, the special envoy for Kosovo's status, Martti Ahtisaari, handed over his proposal to Pristina and Belgrade, “Standards for Kosovo”, in which the dissolution of KKM was envisioned, and the creation of a new force.

The explosion of the KPC is done with the reconciliation of all local and foreign relevanting factors. On January 21, 2009, the Kosovo Security Force was established, which initially had the responsibility to deal with serious disasters, such as earthquakes, floods or fires that could threaten Kosovo.
