According to statistics provided by the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, 18 police officials for various criminal acts have been arrested within this period and a police official has been transferred.
However, this institution has offered no data on how many of those suspended during this time have returned to their jobs. Not even in the Kosovo Police.
Days ago at the workplace, two police officials, suspended at IPK's recommendation, also returned as they had allegedly failed to implement the order to arrest the top suspect in the case of Sergeant Muhammad Lika's murder.
Lieutenant Yaser Jaha's lawyer, says that after the IPK investigation, the same has resulted in innocence as he says they are in preparation for an image-damaged indictment.
“We have considered from the beginning a political action perhaps as far as there was with the lieutenant's competence because the lieutenant distributes the affairs in the morning as he stated in the IPK, even the question of apprehending or not suspects is not the power of the lieutenant, as with regard to public lynching, they are obvious because there have been comments of different natures regarding Lieutenant and his family”, Jäser Jahes's Já lawyer has declared.
Police official Muhamet Lika was killed on April 1st this year in the steps of the building where he lived, as he was returning to his apartment from work and his murder, 7 persons, 6 of whom are under detention and were known for justice organs, since they had a criminal record, RTVDukagini reports.
On the other hand, former IPK chief Valdet Hoxha says that despite the police officials' suspension in the interest of making the truth clear, this affects lowering the image even for the police institution itself.
The “unfortunately is true that with the suspension of the police, a perception of the police and a personal damage to the image of police officials, but also for the organisation as a whole, these procedural steps are inevitable if we want to have an unhindered, transparent and in full of personal and material evidence that are part of subject”, Valdet Hoxha former IPK chief has stated.
Meanwhile, a police official in Vushtrri was also arrested last week, suspected of misuse of official and illegal weapons duty. /Periscope/
