(9 months ago)At a ceremony hosted today by the Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Directorate, agricultural resources for 155 farmers were divided, out of a total of 333 beneficiaries of the “Food with agricultural mechanisms, with co-finance”. Farmers took advantage of motorculators, discs, tars, corn planters, planklets, and atomizers, with the aim of modernising agriculture, increasing the quality of land labor, and lowering spending.
Prizren Mayor Shacir Totaj, present at the event, said: “Buysia is an important sector for the economic development of our municipality. For this reason, the farmers' support has been and remains one of our top priorities”.
He stressed that the Prizren municipality is constantly investing in the agricultural sector: “with this project we are creating better opportunities for our farmers, helping to modernise agricultural mechanization, save time and increase productivity”.
Totaj warned that support for farmers will continue further:
This is just the beginning, because the second phase of the agricultural supply will be realised soon. Our commitment is that no farmer will remain without support”.
This project, which is being implemented with co-finance, is an important step towards modernising agriculture and rural development in the Prizren municipality.
