Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's chief of staff has warned that Kiev remembers Budapest”'s error.
Andriy Yermak made his comments referring to the 1994 Memorandium in Budapest.
In 1994, Ukraine signed the memorandum, agreeing to abandon its nuclear arsenal inherited from the Soviet Union in exchange for security guarantees from Russia and other powers.
These assurances have not stopped Russia from conquering Crime in 2014 and conquering it in 2022.
Yermak said he spoke with national security advisers from several countries, including Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Finland, following Monday's meeting in Washington.
Our “Ekips, mainly military, have already begun active work on the military component to ensure security”, he added.
Yermak continued: “We are also conducting the procedure for the necessary actions if the Russian side continues to stall the war and undermine the agreement on the bilateral and trilateral forms of the leadership meeting. ”/Periscopi/
