White House on request for Zelensky's dress at the Trump meeting

The White House has asked Ukrainian officials whether President Volodymyr Zelensky will wear a suit during today's meeting with US President Donald Trump at the Oval Office, Axios reports, citing two informed sources. Sources said Zelensky will appear in the White House wearing the same black jacket [...]
Sources said Zelensky will appear at the White House wearing the same black jacket he wore at the NATO summit in the Netherlands in June.
The costume will be the style of the suit, but not a real suit”, said one of the sources.
The American portal states Zelensky's clothing became “problem” at its previous meeting with Trump in March at the White House, which erupted at a diplomatic subsidiary.
According to Axios, Trump did not like Zelensky's military clothes.
One of Trump's advisers, in part jokingly, told Axio that “would be a good gesture for peace” if Zelensky wore the suit today.
Another source said that “would be fine if he wore a tie, but we don't expect this”.
The source added that US Vice President JD Vance was the most upset “than Trump from Zelensky's appearance and position at the last meeting.
The American president's advisers also claimed that Trump's dissatisfaction with Zelensky last time “was not just because of clothes”.
They also claimed Zelensky became more successful “to satisfy Trump”.
Give him some credit. He is no longer as bad as he was before”, the US official reportedly said.
Previously, Ukrainian designer Elvira Gasanova, who formerly collaborated with Zelensky, said she believed the Ukrainian leader would likely choose a more formal <x0 view” for the meeting with Trump.
“Probably he won't show up in a polo T-shirt. I think he's gonna pick a black military suit or a military-style shirt with pants, maybe a jacket. Having previously been criticised for his informal dress, Zelensky will probably choose a more serious view, though less symbolic”, she told Fox News. /Periscope/
