Reports come a day after Washington and Moscow confirmed that US and Russian presidents will meet to discuss the outcome of the war in Ukraine.
A senior American official and three people informed of internal discussions told him NBC News that the Trump administration is now seriously considering the invitation to Zelensky at the summit.
