Risks turning ATK into political instrument, typical example of capture of public institutions
After the series of constitutional and legal violations, today we have another step in placing LVV people at the helm of the country's key institutions that should be independent of political influences.
The appointment of a former deputy candidate at the head of Kosovo Tax Administration is the typical example of apprehending public institutions. Even more disturbing, the move risks turning ATK into political instrument for certain pressures.
Above all, this decision represents the continuation of violating legal restrictions on the competencies of a government in office and is open disregard for the Supreme Court's recent judgment, namely, in relation to (former-) Finance Ministry.
