“The record shooting was fired on August 14, 2025, using Artificial Intelligence under the direction of a pilot-free system with an Alligator rifle of 14.5 mm”, military journalist Yuri Butusov reported, along with a video of the incident himself, records the telegraph.
He added that the bullet passed through the window of Russian soldiers.
The shooting occurred in the region where Moscow has deployed around 110,000 troops and violated Ukraine's defence lines, but the Ukrainian side said the situation was under control.
The previous record was also held by Ukraine: a 58-year-old sniper from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) hit a target from a distance of 3,800 meters using the “rifle Lord of the Horizon”.
Otherwise, “Alligator” is a local rifle produced by the XADO-Holding company by Kharkiv.
It has a 13 - inch [14.5 mm] calibrate, a tranche of 1200 mm, and a speed of up to 1,000 meters per second.
Its weight is about 50 pounds [25 kg], which is considered normal for this type of weapon.
Ukrainian media reports that four kilometers is not the maximum radius of “Alligator”.
Its bullet can travel up to six miles [7 km], although such distance accuracy remains a great challenge. /Periscope/
