Local authorities in the Krasnodar region reported that about 100 emergency teams struggled with flames caused by the decline in parts of a threat on the part of Russian air defence.
The damage involved large forest areas, while the fire spread only about 20 miles [9 km] from the royal residence at Cape Idokopas, near Gelandzik, writes foreign media.
Despite the sensitive situation, no injuries were recorded or victims. However, the emergency reported that several vacationers were evacuated because of smoke and transported by ship to safer areas.
