The last time Trump met Putin, their relationship was enjoying an increase. Six years later, it has not happened very positive for relations between their countries.
Putin invaded Ukraine a year after Trump left office, and in the months since Trump returned to the White House for the second term, Moscow has shown no indication it will give up.
Trump, who once hoped he could use his reports with Putin to end the war, has been disappointed with the Russian president, who now accuses him of disseminating “This gives a completely dark backdrop to today's encounter in Alaska.
“I believe that now he (Putin) is convinced he will make a deal. I think he will. And we'll find out, I'll know soon enough,” Trump said Thursday for Fox Radio.
Remember, Trump has warned “very serious consequences” for Russia if Putin refuses to finish the war during the meeting, Kosovo Preress broadcasts.
