Trump: If I abandon the process, then a new war can begin

Following closed-door talks that took place, as well as the family photo with European leaders, now another statement comes from US President Donald Trump.

The latter has gathered at a Zelensky table and all European leaders for other discussions where one of the several topics he has discussed was a possible trilateral meeting with Zelensky and Putin.

The Europeans will help them. We need to talk and possible discussion of territories, it's sad, but we need to negotiate. We have Zelensky, who we met with earlier and who is trying to get a trilateral meeting to be done as soon as possible, and that's why Russian President Putin and I have to work for.

I think very good things can come soon and I've arranged a meeting with Putin. I think I'm going to this meeting because a lot of people can be rescued from death. Six thousand people are being killed a week. We are working on achieving long-term peace that is currently not happening, but Zelensky and Putin can talk a little more about the issue. We didn't have a truce, but I don't personally know if it's necessary. I think we can achieve something in the near future.
